Recent Taste and Odor Inquiries Regarding Drinking Water
The recent changes in taste and odor of the treated surface water being delivered by the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (the “Authority”) to a few districts are believed to be the result of a spike in Geosmin and Methyl-Isoborneol (MIB) which are naturally occurring compounds found in Lake Houston. All recent test results have confirmed that the water being supplied by the City of Houston to the Authority and by the Authority to its customers is indeed safe and meets all State and Federal drinking water requirements. Donut Lake Recreation Facilities are Re-Opened
Great News! Donut Lake Recreation Facilities at 13715 Charwell Crossing is back up and running for patron’s use of tennis courts and bathrooms (and storage room access) via card reader system. Enjoy and stay cool!
Memorial Day Office Hours
In observance of the Memorial Day Holiday, HRF, HCWCID 116 and SiEnvironmental offices will be Closed on Monday, May 29, 2023. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 30th during normal operating hours. For Water related Emergencies, call SiEnviro at 281-807-9500 (24hr answering service). For HRF related issues, email to admin@huntwickwater.com. Emails will be responded to in a timely manner when office reopens. Utilize drop box to left of front door for correspondence/payments to HCWCID 116, HRF, and HCA.
