NHCRWA Water Distribution Project Update

Construction for the NHCRWA Water Distribution Project connecting new direct surface water line to Champions Municipal Utility District ("Champions MUD") through Huntwick Forest subdivision is underway. This is a NHCRWA/Champions MUD project; it is not a HCWCID 116 project. HCWCID 116 customers that have any questions, concerns, and/or are directly affected by the project can reach out to the contacts listed below. The NHCRWA Board meets the first Monday of every month. Update: Parking Lot Closure Alert: HCWCID 116 Huntwick Recreation Facilities

Huntwick Recreation Facilities Clubhouse (at 5300 Coral Gables Drive) and Donut Lake (at 13715 Charwell Crossing Lane) parking lots will be CLOSED for re-surfacing and re-striping starting Monday, November 20 and is slated to be completed by Tuesday, December 19. The District will temporarily allow users of Recreation Facilities to park along street adjacent to Recreation Facilities until parking lots are reopened for use. Carpooling to the Facilities is strongly recommended. No overnight parking along street adjacent to Recreation Facilities allowed and will be subject to being towed at the owner’s expense. NHCRWA Terminates Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan, Stage 1 Remains in Effect

The North Harris County Regional Water Authority is immediately terminating Stage 2 of its’ Drought Contingency Plan (DCP), due to reduced demand. Please keep in mind that Stage 1 of the DCP remains in effect. The Authority’s Stage 1 DCP request that any customer receiving water from the Authority or well owner whose well is included under the Authority’s Harris-Galveston Subsidence District aggregate water well permit: Check for and repair all leaks, dripping faucets, and running toilets.
